Microdermabrasion is effective in minimizing fine lines, "crow's feet," age spots and acne scars, by stimulating the production of new skin cells and collagen. During microdermabrasion, the hand piece vacuums crystals across the surface of the skin, resulting in a gentle abrasion or "polishing" process. The number of treatments recommended for maximal results can range between 5 and 12, spaced from 1 to 4 weeks apart. Maintenance of results requires periodic treatments after the initial regimen is completed.
Microdermapeel is the combination of Microdermabrasion with a customized chemical peel. By combining both procedures in one visit the results of both are maximized to increase the skin smoothing and brightening effects.
